DNP - The Victoria's Secret annual fashion show is always filled with glitz, glamor and, of course, some beautiful fashion models in nothing much more than lingerie. The 2010 Victoria's Secret fashion show airs on CBS in the United States on Tuesday November 30, 2010 at 10/9 c. However, the actual show takes place a couple of weeks before the televised event. Although some familiar faces were absent from the show, others gained their wings to become the ultimate Victoria's Secret model.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: A NIght of a Thousand Fantasies

This year's Victoria's Secret fashion show took place in New York on Wednesday November 10, 2010; there were six themes this year incorporating the main theme, "A Night of a Thousand Fantasies." The themes were said to represent the different types of a woman; tough love, game on, country girls, heavenly bodies, wild things and pink.

The Return of Adriana Lima at the 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Although ex-Victoria's Secret Angel Heidi Klum took to the catwalk only weeks after the birth of baby Lou at the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima just made her return to the catwalk this year, by opening the show with the trademark Victoria's Secret Angel wings. Adriana Lima, 29, gave birth to daughter Valentina Lima Jaric in November 2009.

The UK's Daily Mail reports that Adriana Lima told USA Today that:


“To be back in shape for the fashion show, it wasn't easy for me. I really worked very hard.”

Adriana Lima was also the Victoria's Secret Angel chosen to model the $2 million fantasy diamond bra that was designed by Italian jeweler Damiani. The Victoria's Secret fantasy diamond bra contains more than 3,000 jewels.


Katy Perry Headlines the Music at the 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Not to be outdone by the Victoria's Secret Angels, singer Katy Perry performed at the 2010 Victoria's Secret fashion show in a yellow dress with pink hearts and thigh-high black boots, in addition to a purple bustier and bustle. According to the Huffington Post, Katy Perry, who recently wed British comedian Russell Brand, “fit right in with the likes of models Adriana Lima, Chanel Iman and Karolina Kurkova.” Katy Perry performed some of her recent hits such as California Gurls and Teenage Dreams.
New 2010 Victoria's Secret Angels

Not every familiar face was present on the catwalk at last night's Victoria's Secret fashion show; Heidi Klum recently parted ways with Victoria's Secret after 13 years. Victoria's Secret Angels Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes are both pregnant so were unable to walk the catwalk this year too. However, some Victoria's Secret models gained their wings to become Victoria's Secret Angels, including Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton and Lily Aldridge. Only 33 models are chosen to appear in the Victoria's Secret fashion show and to gain “status” as a Victoria's Secret Angel is the ultimate dream of many models.

Both the Daily Mail and the Huffington Post have photo galleries of the Victoria's Secret fashion show held in New York on November 10, 2010 but if you want to see the Victoria's Secret models live, you'll have to wait until November 30, 2010 to see the televised show on CBS. However, Victoria's Secret fans will not be disappointed; if the photos are anything to go by, the show contains the full line up of Victoria's Secret models in lingerie, wings and over-the-top designs, accompanied by music, glitz and glamor.
